 Lesson1: Part 1,2 (page 6) 
I. Objectives.
Sts will able to greet someone formally.
II. Language focus.
* Vocabulary:
Morning, afternoon, evening
*Model sentence: 
Good morning, Miss Hien.
III. Resourses.
Lesson plan, pictures, text book, recording.
IV. Procedures.
1. Warm up: 
Teacher and sts introduce themselves.
2. New lesson:

1. Look, listen and repeat.
- T introduces the newwords:
 +Morning: buổi sáng
 +Afternoon: buổi chiều
 + evening: buổi tối
-T reads new words first and asks Ss to listen carefully. 
- T reads the new words again and asks Ss to repeat.
- T calls Ss to read.
-T shows the pictures at book to identify the teacher(Miss Hien) and pupils.
-T tell sts that they are going to look at the dialogue in their sts’s book, listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue between Miss Hien and the PPs 
- T plays the recording through for sts to listen to the dialogue. Then T plays the recording again, pausing after each line for sts to repeat.
-T divides the class into two groups.Ask one group to repeat Miss Hien’s part and the other the sts’part.
-T asks Ss role play
-T gives the model sentence:
Good morning,Miss Hien
- T asks the whole class to read the model sentence a few times.
-T asks sts to write down in their notebook,
2. Look and say.
-T asks sts look at picture a, b, c and d to identify the characters in the pictures and what part of the day it is in each P.
-T does the task with one student as an example (eg.Teacher:Good morning, Nam.Nam: Good morning,Miss Lieu)
-T asks sts work in pairs.
-T calls some pairs to demonstrade the task in front of class.
- T checks sts’comprehension of the language.

IV. Procedures.
 1. Check up: 
T calls two sts go to BB to greet in the morning and evening.
The whole class listen and comment.T corrects and gives mark. 
 2. New lesson:

3.Talk:
- T asks sts to look at P a,b,c and d on page 7 and help them to identify the people in each P.
-T tell sts that they are going to practise greeting and responding to greetings appropriately, using good morning, good afternoon, good evening and good bye. 
- T asks sts practice in pairs.
- T selects some pairs to demonstrade the task in front of the class.
- T checks the sts’ comprehension 
4.Listen and tick:
-*Pre-listening:
-T asks Ss look at pictures 1a, 1b and Ps 2a, 2b on page 7 to identify the characters and what part of the day it is in each P.
-T guides Ss how to do this part: listen the recording and tick the correct answer. 
-T gives Ss guess the key
 *While-listening:
-T plays the recording through for sts to listen 2 times 
-T asks Ss exchange their answer with their parner.
 *Post-listening:
-T calls some ss give the key

-T corrects and remarks
-T plays the recording once more for sts to listen and check again.
- T asks Ss repeat the listening
Transcript:
1. Good morning .
2. Good evening.

- work in pair: one says the greetings and the other the responses.

-Look and identify the characters and what part of the day it is in each P.

3. Homework.
- Do the exercises in part A/text book .
- Practise greeting and responding to formal or in formal greetings.
