 UNIT 8: IN THE VILLAGE
 Lesson 1
I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Language focus/Knowledge:
 - Sound /v/
 - Vocabulary: village, volleyball, van
 - Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening)
2. Competences: 
 -Correctly pronounce the name of letter V/v and the sound /v/ in 
 isolation. 
 - Say correctly the words : village, volleyball, van
3. Attitude/ Qualities:
 -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. 
 Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love food, love learning 
 English 
II. TEACHING AIDS:
 - Pictures, E- book, computer , projector, pictures, recording. 
III. PROCEDURE:

 *Aims: to help ss review some vocabulary that they 
 learnt.
 *Procedure:
 -Have ss to look through 3 pictures( which is - SS listen and play 
 closed). T opens each piece of each picture for ss to game.

*Procedure:
- Have ss look at the picture and draw ss’ attention 
to the letter V/v, the words next to the things and the -Look at the picture and

team has a set of words. and have them place the

- Explain that one student in each team should turn 
over the first card in the line and try to say the word 
on it.Is ss pronounces it correctlr, he/she should do 
one of the following:
+ If the word is written in green: continue his/ her 
turn by over the next card in the line and try to say 
the word on it.
+ If the word is written in red: collect all the words 
cards he/she has correctly pronounced. Play then 
passes to the next student.
+ If the student does not pronounce the word 
correctly, all the cards should be placed face down 
again and turn passes to the next student.
- Have time for ss to play game.
-Add up how many words cars each team has won 
.The team with the most word cards wins -Ss play game.
3. Consolidation :2’
*Aims: to consolidate and wrap up the content of 
the lesson.
- T tells ss about the main content of the lesson.
- T tells ss about the educational Aimss of the 
lessons.

III. PROCEDURE:

the two forms of the letter. - Tell ss to trace the letter V/v. T can demonstrate by 
air tracing or tracing the broken lines of the letter -Ss listen.
